WHAT WE DO:

Carbon County Search and Rescue volunteers are committed to serving Carbon County in the many facets of wilderness emergency. Our purpose in this multi-disciplined organization shall be to aid and assist in the saving of life and to lend services of the association to all persons in situations dangerous to life, limb, or property; train and equip search and rescue teams; and to assist the Sheriff whenever the need should arise.

We are dispatched by the Carbon County Sheriff's office and respond to approximately 30 calls per year, ranging from overdue hikers, technical rescues, and out-of-county assists.
